Academic Experience, Concentrating on the History of Chinese Ancient Architecture
2010-2017 Comprehensively surveying and mapping on Chinese ancient architectures
As a student and a tutor in the Studio of Surveying and Mapping on Chinese ancient architectures held by the School of Architecture, Tsinghua University for the third-year undergraduates, measure and draw the plans, sections and elevations of Quanshen Temple, Jiutianshengmu Temple, Guangsheng Lower Temple, Zisheng Temple and Erlang Temple, in Shanxi Province.
Research on Chinese ancient architectures Using both the manual method and 3D laser scanning, including photogrammetry, endeavor to reveal the initial design of the wood structures of the ancient architectures, diff erent skills of ancient craftsmanship, and to trace the historical carpentry traditions. These cases are: The middle hall of Chongming Temple in Gaoping County, Yuhuagong of Yongshou Temple in Yuci County, the main hall of Longmen Temple in Pingshun County, the main hall of Zisheng Temple in Gaoping County, the Great East Hall of Foguang Temple in Wutai County, the main hall of Longyan Temple in Lingchuan County, all in Shanxi Province

Making general investigation of more than two hundred historical architectures in the south of Shanxi Province and writing the brief reports of them Research on the six cases that share a particular layout of dougong (the eaves of bracket sets) which were mainly constructed before the year 1103 in northern ancient China.
